About Us

In the early 1950’s, there were 4 small towns in Southeast Alabama, in Geneva County, whoset out to bring natural gas to their county. The towns, Geneva, Hartford, Samson, and Slocomb all beingmunicipalities, joined together to form what is known today as the Geneva County Gas District, with themain office in Geneva, Alabama.  In March 1955, they were granted certification from the state to be incorporated.

About Us

The Cumberland Falls Hwy Water District was created by Whitley County Court on February 1, 1967. When they first formed the District, December of 1966, there were 25 people on the petition, and we now have 3711 current residents.

Our motto is to make our district the best!  Strive to be the best and have the best customer service we can have to serve the people in our district. This District started with only 3 Commissioners in 1967. We currently have 1 Chairman and 4 Commissioners on the Board.  Board meetings are every 3rd Wednesday at 1:30pm eastern time.
