All water bills are due by 4:00 PM on the 10th day of each month. A 10% penalty is added on any unpaid balance after 4:00 pm on the 10th day of each month. If you are using the Online Bill Pay you must allow 2 - 3 business days for your transaction to be processed. If your account is set up to pay through Electronic Bank Draft do not pay online. If you wish to discontinue Electronic Bank Draft you must provide this request in writing.
Beginning January 1, 2015 tap fees will be $800.00 per 3/4" tap. 1" and 2" taps are at actual cost with an $800.00 minimum. All new services must get a Plumbing Construction Permit from the Whitley County Health Department. You can apply for a permit on Friday's from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. All new customers must come into the office, fill out a Contract For Water Service and provide a valid photo ID. Once you are established as a customer, any changes you wish to make to your account must be submitted to us in writing by the account holder and photo ID provided. Once you are established as a customer, if your water is disconnected for any reason, only the person who's name is on the account can have service re-connected after paying the delinquent balance in full and a $25.00 reconnect fee. You must come into the office and have your photo ID. Online payment of your water bill is not an option if your service has been disconnected or is in the process of being disconnected. The account holder must come into the office with their photo ID. Effective July 1, 2016 a monthly fee of $3.00 will be added to every active water meter for Whitley County 911 service. (Whitley County Ordinance 2016-02)Effective January 1, 2017 Meter Deposits will be $110.00.

Any payment left in our night deposit after the close of business on the 10th will have the penalty added. Any payment made online after the close of business on the 10th will have the penalty added. If the total amount due is not paid in full by 4:00 PM on the 20th service will be disconnected. If any account is disconnected for non payment, and it is the intent to have the service restored in the account holders name, the person who's name is on the bill card must present their VALID photo ID at the District office, pay the bill and reconnect fee before service will be restored. This requirement is noted in the Contract For Water Service that every customer must fill out (paragraph 5) and is part of Cumberland Falls Highway Water District's tariff. Please do not ask us to make exceptions.
As of January 1, 2023, the Kentucky Department of Revenue will require our office to collect a 6% sales tax on services received by customers with multiple accounts or accounts with the same mailing address. A utility customer is eligible for the residential exemption for services received only at his or her place of domicile defined under KRS 139.470(7)(b)(1) as "where an individual has his or her legal, true, fixed, and permanent home and principal establishment, and to which, whenever the individual is absent, the individual has the intention of returning".
